Kilo was generally uninterested in parenting his little brother, and often left him alone for days at a time in order to force him to learn how to survive on his own. While Chronos' cognitive and motor skills developed much quicker than a normal child's, he struggled to care for himself and was constantly at odds with the forces of nature around him. Eventually, when Aquatic Ruin Zone developed an infestation of Badniks, Chronos immediately took to the tech and honed his mechanical prowess on them. It would be around this time that a teenage Sonic The Hedgehog, also known as Comet, would finally come through to put an end to the terror and to confront Dr. Robotnik, the wreaker of this havoc. Chronos assisted Comet in the dismantling of Robotnik's latest machine, who was shocked at the state the boy was in and that he had been left alone. Initially, he had only intended to take Chronos until Kilo returned... however, Kilo expressed no interest in taking Chronos back. Comet returned to Emerald Coast with him, living alongside Mighty and Ray for the next few years before eventually settling down in an abandoned airplane near the water.As Chronos aged, he, like most others, came to fear and dread the Robotnik family. Although he stood by Comet's side bravely whenever he went up against the Doctor, several unfortunate plots unfolded by his hand would result in the death of quite a few of Chronos' friends. Chronos, though still a happy-go-lucky kid for the most part, developed a bit of an angsty side to cope with these losses. Despite their deaths, life moved on and seemed to be on the mend... until Dr. Robotnik struck again for the next, and final time. The Doctor's new machine, the Time Twirler, allowed him to manipulate the time-space barrier that had been sealed off centuries ago by their king. His intentions were to strand Comet somewhere deep within the multiverse... however, the machine suffered a fatal error and exploded. In a moment of adrenaline, Chronos sacrificed himself and pushed Comet out of the way. Caught in the explosion, Chronos, alongside Dr. Robotnik, found themselves separated from their timeline together, with only the remnants of the busted Time Twirler to show.This mishap, however, had all been done to execute PROJECT MARIA, the plan to revive Maria Robotnik, who had been killed far too soon (albeit with some unexpected changes of the course). Using Chronos, as a vessel to siphon Maria's essence into, Robotnik soon began doing everything possible to break the boy's spirits as they traveled the multiverse together in a futile attempt to return home, most Zones of which ended up gauging Chronos as an accomplice to Robotnik's tyranny. As the darkness inside him grew to eventually break him, his hope in others faded and he finally formally adopted the name Chronos as a betrayal to his roots.Perhaps he's even become malleable enough to follow whoever's willing to give him the time of day?

SPIDERLILY'S WEB The "worst timeline" in the Timeclipsed tree. Having become self-aware of his consistent deaths and misfortune throughout over timelines, Chronos develops an enhanced spatial awareness amongst other otherworldly abilities, and begins to consume "corrupt" timelines. For every other iteration of himself that he destroys, he gains an extra tail. So far, he's gained about six... and that number is still ticking.
